Uncle Paul was rescued in March 2021 from Georgia, USA. He was rescued from an animal welfare case where over 40+ animals were saved. Uncle Paul was saved knowing that he would be a palliative case due to his age and stage in heartworm (it was recommended not to go through full treatment). Uncle Paul was also found to have bb pellet fragments in him, which meant that somewhere in his past he was a target of abuse that no animal should endure. He came to his foster family in Canada with a life expectancy of 2-3 months due to his heartworm, low lung capacity and being prone to collapsing.
To our surprise and absolute delight, over 2 years later, it is clear that with the right amount of love and care Uncle Paul has found a zest for life and clearly adores being with his foster family. Since March 2021 Uncle Paul has been with his forever foster family where he is loving life with two other dogs, two cats and the best foster kid brother he could ever ask for! Uncle Paul is living the rest of his days with lots of cuddles, snores and receiving all of the love he needs and deserves from his foster family!
Thank you Julie, Steve and Killian for opening your home and hearts for UP!
