Jiye/Taro or also known by his foster parent as “Tar-Tar” has been adjusting to life in Canada.
I enjoy a quiet home, and I don’t need constant attention and affection. Once I get comfortable, I will let my trusted people touch and pat me, but I don’t like my legs/feet being touched unless they are wet or muddy and need to be cleaned. If you can believe it - my foster has yet to hear me bark!! My ears have their own personality and you will always get a laugh from their unique ability to respond to situations.
My future adopters will understand that I will need a home that is calm without too much extra stimulation. This means that although I am good with dog savvy kids, my furever home would be best as an adult only home. They will also need to know that it will take time and patience for me to adjust in my new environment, but once I do, I am the best boy. I can do well in a house or apartment, but you will need to have stairs to go outside if you’re in an apartment because I am a bit scared of the elevator.
I can’t wait to find my forever people who are looking for an animal companion who doesn’t require much except a spot to lay in the sun and time to get outdoors and walk.
