Meet Nut’Meg’ who has overcome heartbreaking loss and was lucky enough to come from Mexico after meeting the team on a recent rescue mission trip.
Meg’s love language is certainly physical touch and she adores any sort of contact with her people without being needy. Whether it’s the full body lean or those oh so gorgeous golden eyes, she will easily lure you into some body rubs before going about her day. Because of her excitement of affection she has been working hard at being patient and keeping four on the floor. Meg has been a perfect polite houseguest since arriving and is fully house and crate trained. She is also stellar about being left alone while her people go to work. Meg is still working on her leash skills and given her breed cross will need an opportunity to have lots of sniffing time.
Her ideal home has a secure yard or nearby green space to explore around. Meg is amazing with other dogs and will match their energy but loves a good game of chase and bitey face but providing her needs are met she would be an excellent solo dog also to get out and explore with and soak up all the love. Meg has not met kids or cats but is fine with resident chickens so should be ok with dog savvy cats. As for children we feel due to her kind and loving nature she would think they are pretty great if it met more hands to be petting her! Of course this requires kids that are aware of boundaries and proper dog etiquette.
Meg is ready for her next chapter and a family to show her all the great things love and adventure mean. Apply for Meg today and check her out her foster journey at @rescuedoggielife on instagram.
Backstory: Cereza was found in a small village near a residential area with her four babies down in Mexico. Sadly, the day after their rescue the puppies who were very young, malnourished, and full of parasites, did not survive. Despite this heartbreaking loss, Cereza has shown incredible resilience and remains such a gentle and kind dog. After her long journey, she is more than ready to find her forever home.
