Meet Benji! A Gentle Soul Ready to Bloom…
Benji’s journey to safety started all the way in Korea, and on February 17, 2025, she arrived in Canada to begin a brand new life. After a long, scary flight and a world of unknowns, Benji took her time to decompress and adjust but with patience, love, and a calm environment, she’s finally ready to find her forever home.
Benji is a calm and quiet pup with a low-to-medium energy level. She’s affectionate with her humans, absolutely adores belly rubs, and will gently roll onto her back like a trusting doll when she’s feeling cozy and loved. She thrives on routine and will bond deeply with someone who’s often home or works a hybrid schedule, especially someone who understands the power of gentle companionship.
She’s easy to walk, composed on leash, and gets a little excited (in the cutest way) when she spots another dog. Benji has previously lived with other dogs and would do well either solo or with a calm, confident canine companion who can show her the ropes.
Her perfect day includes quiet morning walks before 8 AM, relaxing evening strolls after 7 PM, some playtime with her toys, and plenty of cuddles in between. She’s not demanding, but she does appreciate having her person close by for some necessary belly rubs. She is house trained and crate trained, she often retreats to her crate as it is her safe space! She would do best with none or older children that understands she appreciates calmness and quietness to adjust comfortably.
Benji’s forever family will understand that trust takes time. With patience, consistency, and soft encouragement, she blossoms into a playful, affectionate companion who simply wants to feel safe, loved, and close to her person.
