I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Buddy

I'm Available

Meet Buddy!

Gentle, quiet, and deeply sensitive, Buddy is a sweet soul who’s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place.

Buddy is fully house-trained and crate-trained. While he’s shy and easily startled, he’s also incredibly gentle and friendly once he feels safe. Having spent a long time in a shelter, he’s still working on building confidence in new environments and around other dogs.

Out on walks, Buddy can be nervous and may try to hide when he sees other dogs or children. Even with his foster siblings, he prefers to observe from a distance. Despite this, he relies on the presence of calm, confident dogs to help him face new and scary situations. He takes comfort in their example and won’t go for walks without them.

At home, Buddy enjoys quiet company. He does best in a calm environment without young children or loud activity. He’s currently learning to manage stairs (his foster parents often carry him) and continues to make progress every day. He may take time to warm up, but when he does, he shows his gentle, affectionate nature.

Buddy would thrive in a patient, understanding home with a steady routine, someone home often, and ideally a calm, confident dog companion to help guide him. With time, kindness, and reassurance, Buddy has the potential to blossom into the loyal, trusting friend he’s meant to be.

If you have a quiet heart and a calm home to share, Buddy will reward your patience with endless gratitude and quiet love.
