Meet KC... a true little warrior princess with an incredible story!
KC was born on the streets to a stray mom who sadly passed away. As a tiny pup KC survived the unthinkable, she was struck by an oil tanker and despite severe injuries she managed to drag herself around for over a week before help finally arrived. The accident left her with hind-end paralysis, but it never dimmed her sweet spirit or strong will.
A compassionate Canadian adopter opened their heart and home to KC giving her a beautiful life filled with a custom wheelchair, lake swims, dog friends, and endless love. Unfortunately due to unforeseen life changes her adopter could no longer care for her. When KC needed a safe place once again Full Circle Rescue welcomed her with open arms.
KC is incredibly affectionate, playful, and cuddly. She truly doesn’t see herself as any different from other dogs. She does, however, require attentive and committed care. KC wears a diaper when she is not in her wheelchair, and her foster has created a special changing station that allows KC to empty her bladder and bowels comfortably while staying clean - similar to manual bladder expression but less invasive for both KC and her caregiver. She enjoys baths once or twice a week and absolutely loves zooming around in her wheels, playing with toys, swimming, and soaking up attention from everyone she meets.
KC would thrive in a home where someone is around often with minimal stairs and open living space. A dog friend would be wonderful though she would also happily take all the human love for herself. She does require some lifting (approximately 30–40 Lbs) and must remain on a veterinarian‑recommended diet that supports her urinary health. Keeping KC clean, dry, and moisturized is essential to her comfort and overall wellbeing.
KC has her wheelchair, changing station, and favourite belongings packed and ready. She’s prepared for her next chapter and eager to show her forever family the true meaning of resilience, second chances, and unconditional love.
