Meet Balou!
Balou is a sweet, playful 7-month-old boy who’s ready to find his forever family! He’s the perfect mix of fun and affection, always up for a game with his dog buddy, but just as happy to curl up for cuddles after a day of adventure. Balou is fully potty trained and sleeps beside his foster on his dog bed. He is currently working on being fully crate trained however, he’s comfortable free-roaming when left alone and is not destructive. He’s learning all about routines and boundaries, and responds well to gentle guidance. This happy pup loves his walks and is making great progress with leash manners. He is continuing to walk well on leash and doesn’t bark at other dogs or people, and is only nervous around garbage trucks. Balou is very food-motivated, which makes training a breeze! Balou gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He’s friendly with people and would do well in a home with dog-savvy kids of any age. His energy level is moderate... he’s playful but also enjoys quiet time.
Balou’s ideal home is an active family who enjoys long walks or hiking and is willing to keep up the boundaries and routines that help him thrive. He’s flexible and eager to learn, and just needs a loving family to show him what’s expected.
