Meet Panda!
Panda is the kind of girl who makes being a foster dog look easy. She is sweet, calm, affectionate and incredibly well-mannered, and she seems to fit right into whatever environment she’s in.
Panda is both crate trained and potty trained, and she does wonderfully when left home alone in her crate. She settles in calmly and doesn’t make a fuss. In fact, Panda is a very quiet girl who rarely makes a sound. She is currently being fostered with a young child and does wonderfully with kids of all ages. She would be a fantastic addition to a family with children, but she would also be perfectly happy in a quieter home with a senior couple or someone looking for a low-energy companion.
Panda is also cat-friendly and lives with a cat in her foster home. She does well with other dogs and enjoys playing, but she isn’t the type to come barreling up to another dog or demand attention. She is wonderfully respectful of their space. When meeting a new dog, Panda will calmly wag her tail and wait for them to approach her.
She is a true couch potato with lower energy and is happiest relaxing beside her people. But when it’s time to head out, she’s ready! Panda is amazing on leash and in the car, making her an easy companion for walks, errands and adventures. She recently attended one of our adoption days at a busy pet store and did absolutely amazing surrounded by all the stimulation: lots of people, other animals, noise and activity happening around her. She remained calm, relaxed and well-mannered throughout the entire event, showing just how adaptable and easygoing she is. Panda is also very sweet with people. When she’s interested in someone, she’ll calmly approach them and happily accept all the pets and attention they are willing to give.
She absolutely loves being pet all over and would gladly soak up affection from her humans. She doesn’t jump, doesn’t get overly excited and doesn’t demand attention. Instead, Panda has this lovely, gentle way of simply being present and enjoying life alongside her people. Whether you’re looking for a calm companion for a quieter household, a family dog who can happily live with children, or simply the sweetest couch potato to curl up beside you, Panda could be the perfect fit.
Panda is truly the best girl in the world, and she is ready to find her forever family.
Panda's Backstory:
Panda was found wandering around the Cholula pyramid, when the FCR team was there for their spay and neuter clinic a desperately searching for food. She was in very poor condition - extremely thin and following people in hopes of getting something to eat. Despite everything she had been through, she stayed close to humans, showing her trust and desire to be cared for. Thankfully, she was rescued and given a second chance.
