At 2 years old and 40 pounds, Bo is a handsome Beagle mix with a nose for adventure, a goofy personality, and enough love to fill a home. Found as a stray, this happy-go-lucky boy hasn't let his past define him. Instead, he's embraced every new day with enthusiasm, curiosity, and an endless desire to be close to his people.
Bo has never met a stranger. He's always excited to say hello, happily accepts every cuddle that's offered, and wants nothing more than to be included in whatever his family is doing. Whether it's heading out on a walk, exploring new trails, playing in the yard, or relaxing together after a busy day, Bo is happiest when he's by your side.
Bo gets along well with dogs and children of all ages. He loves having canine friends, although his play style can be a little enthusiastic and rough at times. Like any young hound with a zest for life, he's still learning good manners and occasionally decides that another dog's toys or snacks look better than his own. Thankfully, it's all done without any aggression; he simply needs continued guidance to help him learn appropriate boundaries.
As a young dog, Bo is still working on some important life skills. He isn't crate-trained yet and is continuing to learn house training, as he can have accidents when left alone. He's also working through separation anxiety and will thrive with a family that's home often and committed to helping him build confidence and independence at a pace he can handle. Positive reinforcement, consistency, and patience will go a long way in helping Bo succeed.
Bo is also polishing his leash manners and can get a little bouncy when greeting new people because he's just so excited to make friends. He's eager to learn, incredibly food motivated, and will flourish with an adopter who enjoys continuing his training.
As a Beagle mix, Bo loves to use his nose. He'll thrive in a home that provides plenty of opportunities for sniffing adventures, enrichment activities, and both physical and mental exercise. A securely fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus, but most of all, he's looking for a family who understands the joyful, curious nature of hounds and is ready to embrace all the fun that comes with them.
