Meet Harmonie,
Some dogs just want one thing in life… to love someone with their whole heart. That’s Harmonie.
At just 2 years old, this beautiful brindle girl has already experienced the uncertainty of losing her home after being surrendered locally. While she waits for the fresh start she deserves, Harmonie is living in boarding because we simply don’t have enough pet-free foster homes. More than anything, we’d love for her to trade a kennel for a couch, and strangers for a family.
Harmonie is incredibly affectionate and absolutely adores people. She greets everyone with a constantly wagging tail, bright eyes, and a heart full of love. She’s the kind of dog who thinks there is no such thing as too many cuddles or too much attention. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants to be by your side, requires constant butt rubs, Harmonie is ready to fill that role.
She is fully crate trained and house trained, happily sleeps in her crate overnight, and can relax in it while you’re at work. She’s also great in the car, isn’t overly vocal, and has a wonderful off-switch once she’s had her exercise. Harmonie is also incredibly intelligent, she learns quickly and is eager to continue building her confidence.
Harmonie is currently working with our certified professional dog trainer and behaviourist to continue developing her leash skills and confidence. She already walks very nicely most of the time, though she can occasionally pull if something exciting catches her nose. She’ll thrive with someone who enjoys continuing her training and helping her become the very best version of herself.
Because other dogs can make Harmonie feel nervous, she is looking for a home where she can be the only pet. She is not cat-friendly and would do best with older children, as her excitement sometimes leads to enthusiastic greetings and happy jumps. She isn’t pushy - she simply loves people so much that she can’t always contain her excitement.
Harmonie would love a securely fenced yard where she can stretch her legs and enjoy time outdoors, or an active family committed to giving her the daily exercise and enrichment she deserves. She is also a bit of an escape artist when crated, so she’ll need a secure crate with carabiners or similar safety measures to keep her safe when unsupervised.
One thing you’ll quickly discover? Harmonie is a total foodie! She’s not destructive, but she’ll happily investigate anything that smells delicious, so keeping snacks out of reach is a must.
Harmonie isn’t looking for a perfect family… she’s looking for the right one. Someone who understands that confidence grows with patience, consistency, and kindness. Someone who will celebrate every little victory, laugh at her goofy moments, and appreciate the incredible dog she already is.
She has so much love to give, and we know her person is out there.
