I'm not quite ready to go to my new home.

Hi! My Name Is Pongo

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

Meet Pongo, also known as Potato or Tater Man! This clumsy, playful boy is absolutely bursting with puppy energy. He gets excited about just about everything, whether it's meeting new people, spotting another dog, or the simple joys of belly rubs. He’s a huge fan of attention and affection!

Pongo is a high-energy boy who loves to play, explore, and burn off some steam. He gets especially excited when he spots other dogs, people, or critters on walks and is still learning his leash manners. He can be a little enthusiastic with his greetings and tends to jump up when meeting new people, so continued training and consistency will be important.

At home, Pongo loves his toys and is a heavy-duty chewer, so durable toys are a must! He is working on crate training and potty training, and while he may take a little time to settle in his crate, calming music helps him relax. He is also learning basic commands, and occasionally offers a “sit.” Pongo would do best with a patient family who understands that he's a puppy with a lot of potential!

Pongo is looking for an active, understanding home with plenty of opportunities for play, enrichment, and affection. Older children who can handle his enthusiasm may be a good fit, and a playful human companion would be right up his alley. He may be a little chaotic at times, but this goofy, lovable boy has so much love to give. If you're ready for a lifetime of laughs, playtime, and cuddles, Pongo might just be your guy!
