He is a happy, affectionate, and playful boy who’s ready to find his forever family!
Hitchy is house trained and has done wonderfully being left alone. Although he can be left alone - Hitchy does get bored, and boredom does not bode well for any dog. When he is supplied with toys and safe stimulation he is much better behaved. He’s not crate trained yet, so his ideal adopter will be patient and willing to continue helping him learn that skill at his own pace.
He loves other dogs and currently lives with a foster dog he adores playing with. Hitchy would thrive in a home with another friendly, playful pup who can match his energy. (He’s got that fun puppy spirit and could play all day, then sleep soundly through the night!)
Hitchy hasn’t been tested with cats or kids, so proper introductions would be needed.
He’s a smart boy who’s eager to please and would benefit from some continued work on basic manners. Things like leash walking, impulse control, and keeping all four paws on the ground when excited. With consistency and structure, Hitchy will blossom into the most wonderful companion.
He’s also a total sweetheart… loves affection, meeting new people, and even enjoys bath time!
