Hello everyone! Although I have taken a bit more time to adjust in foster than my brothers Henry and Doug, I have been working very hard in my foster home learning about life in Canada!
With this learning and commitment from his foster, Arthur is excited to find a furever family who is looking to welcome a young pup into their home.
Arthur, with puppy dog eyes that will melt your heart, is an affectionate, playful and curious dog. He loves laying by the window watching the world go by, as well as working at solving puzzle toys. Arthur adores affection, and has shown to ask for pets gently and politely from his foster. He is also perfectly content to be on his own, but when he realizes it's been a while since his last snuggle, he will search to find his foster Mom. Arthur enjoys his walks and prefers to take his time on his own to sniff out the world. He is greatly enjoying the ability to have lots of time to explore his new surroundings, so a future adopter will be happy to take the time to let Arthur interact with all the sights and smells of a new environment with their support and presence.
His future adopters will also need to understand that the world is a little scary of a place for him right now, and he does get nervous with oncoming people or dogs that are very excited. He is very communicative about his unease by letting out a little bark, or even physically trying to get out of the situation that is making him uncomfortable. His future adopters will understand that with patience and time, Arthur will start to learn that he is safe in this big, loud world.
As mentioned - Arthur has been really working on his training while in foster. Arthur has mastered his crate training and finds great comfort sleeping in his crate all night long. He has been working on the regular puppy training commands such as sit, and has been diligently working on his potty training. Arthur's ideal home would be one that is quiet, patient, and dedicated to the life that comes with a young dog.
