Meet Claire!
Claire is a gentle, medium‑energy girl with a tender heart and a shy nature. She was found tied up outside a shelter with another dog, and while we don’t know what her life looked like before that day, it’s clear she didn’t get the safety or comfort she deserved.
Because of her past, Claire can be nervous when meeting new people or dogs. She does best with slow, calm introductions that give her time to observe, settle, and feel secure. Once she realizes she’s safe, her true personality shines — soft tail wags, warm eyes, and a deep love for gentle pets and affection. She becomes a sweet, loyal companion who just wants to be close to her people.
Claire enjoys exploring on her walks and uses her nose to take in the world, which has helped her build confidence. At home, she’s a quiet, easygoing girl who loves to nap, is crate trained, house trained, and walks beautifully on leash. With dogs, she has done well when introduced properly, and she has been cat‑tested in Mexico as well as coexisted peacefully for a week in a temporary foster home with a cat. With thoughtful introductions, she shows she can share her space calmly and respectfully.
Claire would thrive in a patient, loving home with a yard to play in and people who understand that going slow at first sets her up for success. With kindness, consistency, and reassurance, Claire blossoms into a deeply affectionate dog who wants nothing more than to be loved.
