Meet Dallas! Dallas is a sweet beagle ready for his forever home! Dallas is crate trained and potty trained, he also knows sit and come. He is very food motivated which makes training very easy! He would do best in an active home that is dedicated to 2-3 walks a day, he would also love a fenced yard where he can sniff to his heart's delight! Dallas is good on a leash and easily redirected if he starts to follow a scent. He also loves car rides!
While not tested with kids yet, his foster thinks he would be fine with them. Dallas is curious about squirrels and chipmunks - he perks up when he sees them - but hasn't demonstrated any prey drive. While he would be fine as an only child, another dog friend would be great but one that has the same energy as Dallas as an older dog may find him too peppy. Proper, controlled dog intros are critical as Dallas exhibits stranger danger with unknown dogs if they are unleashed and approach unexpectedly. Intros on leash are necessary.
Considering Dallas was a stray, he is well behaved, and is overall a lovely boy. He is very affectionate, loves pets and attention, and this seems to get him to relax/sit still. If you want him on the couch with you, he will be in heaven!
