Danny came to Full Circle Rescue after his owner unfortunately passed away and his caregiver had to make a difficult decision about his future. His caregiver knew that Full Circle Rescue would ensure that Danny would be taken care of, loved, and supported while with us. Danny is now ready for his final transition, and looking for his future forever family!
This sweet dog is the happiest boy that loves his people. Danny is currently fostered with another dog, and has been learning lots about proper introductions, play etiquette, as well as redirection and correction. Danny met the resident dog on a pack walk and continues to work on his leash manners. He is learning that not all dogs will match his energy, and that it's important to respect cues before jumping right into having fun and playing. Danny has also been working on the "heel" position while walking and has shown great improvements. His future adopters will need to commit to continuing his leash training to develop his skills even further.
In typical beagle fashion, Danny is led by his nose, but even when he picks up the smell of food on the ground he won't pick up what isn't his. He will however wait patiently by your side while you cook dinner, showing you his desire to be close to his humans - while also getting in some good sniffs ; ). Danny is both house and crate trained, but prefers to have the crate door left open while he relaxes and settles in the mornings and evenings with one of his chew toys. Danny can get overstimulated, especially when he receives an immense amount of pets and snuggles. His future adopters will need to provide him the space and opportunity to settle himself when this happens. Once he settles, he is incredibly affectionate and cuddly. This smart boy has been learning so much in training and already knows "sit", "stay", "paw" and "off".
Could you be the person to continue on his journey of becoming the bestest beagle boy out there?
