Meet Dewe!
Dewe is an 11-year-old senior gentleman with a heart full of love and so much life still to share. Do not let his age fool you. This sweet boy is the perfect mix of calm companionship and quiet curiosity.
Since arriving in foster care, Dewe has proven to be both house trained and crate trained. He settles nicely in a penned area when left alone during the day and is an easygoing, low-maintenance companion who would thrive in a home ready to welcome the special joy of a senior dog.
Dewe has met young children and has done well, showing his gentle and loving nature. He is happiest enjoying the simple things in life, including leisurely walks, time outdoors to sniff and explore, and long, peaceful lounging sessions by your side.
One of Dewe’s favorite pastimes is watching the world go by. He can often be found sitting by the window, completely fascinated by wildlife. Because of this, Dewe would do best in a home without cats or other small non-canine pets.
A home with a yard would be ideal, as he loves being outside, exploring at his own pace, and taking in all the scents around him.
Dewe is the definition of a gentle soul. He is loyal, affectionate, and content just being near his people. He will happily enjoy all the attention you can give and then quietly relax while you go about your day.

Backstory: Dewe lived in a small town and was often seen lying outside a hardware store, covered in mange. Someone would occasionally give him Bravecto to help, but he was clearly neglected. One day, we asked about him and were told, “Take him, we don’t want him, we’re going to abandon him.” That’s when we stepped in.
