Doongi’s foster describes her as the sweetest girl! She is quiet (unless playful), polite and affectionate. With respect of her space during her decompression by her foster parent, Doongi felt comfortable to seek out attention and affection quickly in the home. Doongi even showcased her nesting skills by rearranging the cushion in her crate so that her foster's bedroom door was in direct eyesight! It has been noted that she is not destructive and does not require the crate. However, she is crate trained!
Doongi has been introduced slowly to other foster dogs in the home and noticeably requires a slow and proper introduction to any fur friends. She is a gentle gal who will openly make new human friends wherever she goes. Doongi has also determined that squirrels need to be reminded who is boss and she will even sometimes attempt to chase them up trees! As a result - her future adopter will need to understand that Doongi does have a strong prey drive and they will need to be aware of this on walks or in a yard. She loves chasing her tail and playing with her toys.
As Doongi has shown to be incredibly adaptable, this girl could be an ideal fit for a number of environments. Her ideal adopters will need to continue in her adjustment to Canada in her understanding of basic commands. If you're looking for a quiet, loving, and gentle companion, apply today to see if you could be her furever!
