We are so excited to introduce the World to our very special friend - FOX!
Fox was rescued from a horrible situation in Korea. When our shelter partner was finally able to secure him into their care they immediately got him to the vet for care and X-rays. The X-Rays showed that Fox had undergone surgery on his back legs that was not done properly at all. After this discovery, he was brought to the reputable surgical department at the University, who indicated that unfortunately due to the damage that had already been done, a second surgery would not resolve the issue or increase his quality of life. Due to the botched surgery - Fox does not use his back legs like regular dogs do. He has been fitted with a wheelchair but after building up his muscles, he has decided that he prefers to move and groove in his own unique way.
Now that you know the devastating circumstances that Fox has already endured - let's get to the good stuff about this boy - which is EVERYTHING.
Fox has been loving life with his Canadian foster parent where he is living with the resident dog, and a few small human siblings too! Fox has shown to have no issues with feline friends, and although he is content with the presence of another dog, Fox is indifferent to them and prefers to be on his own. Fox enjoys his short walks, and will take a break if his legs get tired, but is happy to carry on once he gets his rest. This soft, furry fellow will soak up all the gentle pats you will give him, and loves to follow his chosen person around all day. Our Fox is a gentleman who is house and crate trained, and loves spending his days napping close to his foster parent.
Due to his condition - Fox would do best in a home that does not have many stairs, and where he will have access to a yard/green space for his comfort. Although Fox isn't your typical four legged friend, his spirit and zest for life make him just as worthy of being rescued to find his furever home.
This boy is low-key, low-energy, affectionate, quiet and calm. What more could you ask for?
