This sweet boy is house-trained, crate-trained, and has the most relaxed, easygoing energy once he feels safe.
Happy does wonderfully with dog-savvy kids and is also cat friendly! He prefers calm canine companions. He can be nervous around overly excited dogs but does well after a slow introduction and a pack walk. Once he knows another dog’s energy, he’s content to coexist peacefully without needing to play or interact too closely.
Outside and in new environments, Happy can be quite nervous and skittish, especially with loud noises or unfamiliar people. But with patience, reassurance, and time to explore at his own pace, he blossoms. He walks well on leash and doesn’t pull, unless something startles him.
Happy needs a dedicated, patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. He may shy away from touch at first, particularly from men, but he tends to warm up faster with women. Once he feels secure, he absolutely loves gentle pets and quiet companionship. Fast movements can spook him in the beginning, so a calm and understanding home will help him thrive. It is also noted that home with another calm, submissive n confident dog would benefit Happy and help show him the ropes.
He’s low energy, happiest lounging around the house or napping nearby, and would do best in a quiet, rural home with a fenced yard, a safe space where he can enjoy the outdoors at his own pace.
