Hi, I'm Kkami!
I'm a 1-year-old, 15-pound bundle of sweetness with a gentle heart, a playful spirit, and a growing love for adventure. Every day, I'm becoming more confident, and my foster family has loved watching my personality blossom.
These days, I'm always excited when it's time to head out and explore! You'll be greeted with enthusiastic tail wags, happy little vocalizations, and the cutest zoomies as I celebrate the start of our next adventure. The world has become a much more exciting place, and I can't wait to see what's around the next corner.
When I'm out on walks, I'm a confident little explorer. I love taking my time to sniff every interesting scent, roll in the grass, and investigate everything around me. Loud noises don't bother me anymore, and I walk confidently through my neighbourhood, taking it all in stride.
I also love meeting other dogs! I'm social, friendly, and have a wonderful ability to adjust my energy depending on who I'm with. Whether another dog wants to play or prefers a calmer introduction, I do a great job reading their cues. My rescue in Korea noted that I got along well with a variety of dogs, and my foster family has continued to see just how naturally social I am. I'd be happy as an only dog but would love to live with a friendly canine companion.
Like many dogs, squirrels and rabbits definitely catch my attention, but I'm easily redirected and happy to continue on our walk.
While I've become much more outgoing, I'm still a thoughtful boy when meeting new people. I appreciate gentle introductions and like to take a moment to get to know someone. Once I feel comfortable, my sweet, loving personality shines through, and I'll happily come over for pets, follow you around the house, and quietly enjoy spending time with my favourite people.
My crate is one of my favourite places. It's my cozy little retreat where I happily sleep through the night, relax during the day, and often choose to spend time all on my own. I'm also doing wonderfully with my house training. I arrived pee-pad trained, and once I learned my routine and surroundings, I settled in beautifully and now much prefer to do my business outside.
My foster family describes me as a low-energy guy around the house. After an enjoyable walk or some outdoor exploring, I'm perfectly content to nap, quietly observe the world from a comfy spot, or simply relax near my people. I can be vocal when left alone because I'm still working through some separation anxiety, but I'm continuing to make great progress with routine, patience, and positive experiences.
My dream home is one that's loving, patient, and ready to include me in everyday life. A quiet house or apartment could suit me well, and a securely fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus for safe exploring and playtime. Older, respectful children would likely be the best fit while I continue settling into new environments.
