Hi there! My name is Kkami, and I'm a sweet 1.5-year-old pup weighing just about 15 lbs. While I may be a little shy when meeting new people, underneath that cautious exterior is a gentle, affectionate boy who's learning every day that the world isn't such a scary place.
I'm looking for a patient family that will let me settle in at my own pace. Once I feel safe, I'll happily come over for gentle pets and affection. I especially appreciate people who move slowly and let me make the first move. Women tend to be my favourite people at first, but with time, patience, and kindness, I can build trust with anyone!
I'm crate trained and actually consider my crate my happy place. I sleep there overnight, relax there during the day, and often choose to hang out inside on my own. I'm also doing well with my house training. I arrived pee-pad trained, and once I learn my routine and environment, I settle in nicely and know exactly where to go.
On walks, I'm a curious little explorer who loves sniffing around and rolling in the grass. Loud noises can startle me, but I'm becoming more confident with regular exposure. I walk past people, dogs, and even wildlife without much fuss, and I'm learning that outdoor adventures can be fun!
I have shown friendly interest in other dogs, but loud or overly excited dogs can make me nervous. I would likely thrive with a calm, confident canine companion who can help show me the ropes. In fact, my rescue in Korea noted that I enjoyed spending time with other dogs and got along well with a variety of canine friends.
My foster family says I'm a low-energy guy who enjoys a quiet lifestyle. I spend much of my day napping, sniffing around the house, and taking in the world at my own pace. I can be vocal when left alone and am currently working through some separation anxiety, but I'm already making progress with patience, routine, and positive experiences.
My ideal home would be a calm, predictable environment with people who understand that trust takes time. A quiet apartment or home could suit me well, and a fenced yard would be a bonus for safe, familiar exploration. Older, respectful children may be okay, but very young children aren't my ideal match since I appreciate having my space respected while I settle in.
If you're looking for a gentle soul who will reward your patience with loyalty, trust, and quiet companionship, I might just be your perfect match. I may not be the dog who runs into your arms on day one, but for the person willing to give me the time I need, I'll become an incredibly rewarding companion.
Could you be the family I've been waiting for?
