Lucky Leonard has found himself back with FCR and has been getting ready for his forever family! Leonard is a very sweet boy who loves everyone he meets! He is great with kids of all ages and absolutely loves to be cuddled and pet by everyone he meets. Leonard is crate trained, potty trained, and knows several commands including: sit, stay, down, heel, come and paw! Leonard would make anyone the happiest and proudest owner.
Leonard loves his new foster home and has been doing amazing meeting new strangers when it comes to humans. He has had minimal interactions with new dogs but we do believe Leonard would do best as a solo dog as he is currently dog selective when meeting new dogs, he does get nervous when other dogs decide to approach him abruptly. He would need slow, supervised and proper introductions when meeting new dog friends.
Foster Update:
I can't say enough good things about this fellow. He has had a bath while in foster and didn't react at all, let me wet him, scrub him, and dry him. When being fed he is told to wait, and respects when he is told to eat. He has been disrupted eating and has had no reaction. He doesn't bark when people knock at the door, and when new people come inside he greets them politely and quickly wants pats. He sleeps through the night, is crated during the day while I'm at work, and lets you know he wants to go out by tapping the back door with his paw. He is the perfect pet that doesn't need much work - just someone to love and care for him.
