Lil' Miss Missy, the adorable little lady, is searching for her furever family.
This sweet gal entered foster care, and has been settling in beautifully with the two (much larger) resident dogs. She met both of them upon arrival on leash, exchanged sniffs, and has been more than happy to live with them since. She regularly tries to become friends with the resident bully, snuggling up beside him on his dog bed, and mirroring his sleeping positions. Due to the size of the resident foster dogs, she is a bit cautious when engaging with play, but she does want to be a part of everything they're doing. She is however more attached to her foster parent, and for these reasons she could thrive in a home as your one and only, or in a home with another dog. Missy shows her excitement when seeing other dogs and people on walks with little barks, but this behaviour is easily corrected. A future adopter will need to continue on her basic obedience training teaching her commands. Missy is currently crate trained, and is working on showing cues to go to the bathroom, but she is making great strides in her house training.
Missy can be a little shy at first when meeting new people or when people want to pet her. Once she has settled, she loves attention and rubs. She loves to be near her humans, hanging out beside them, and even follows her foster mom around wherever she goes. Missy loves getting out her zoomies both inside and out so a home with an enclosed yard would be ideal. She adores her walks, and her sniffs, and will happily prance along for whatever distance the day's walk is shaping up to be. Missy has the softest fur, and does not shed, however her future adopters will need to be prepared to have her regularly groomed.
