I'm ready for my new family!

 

Scout and her family was found by our shelter partners in Mexico beside a mechanic shop living in grim conditions, but since arriving to Canada she has blossomed and is ready to find a family of her own. She is currently fostered with senior dog and is respectful of their boundaries.  A home with a confident but kind resident dog would help to continue to build her confidence. She plays respectively, engages in role switching and adapts to different styles of play easily. Scout is not just a playful pup, she is also an excellent walker with spectacular leash manners.

 

Scout is eager to learn and will need someone committed to reinforcing her good choices. She is already fully house and crate trained and is respectful indoors. She knows basic commands with a very strong recall and also is excellent in the car! Scout adores her trusted people and will actively seek attention from them and shower them in kisses however, she can be a bit shy with new people coming into the home so adopters will need to be able to support her until she learns all people are good! For this reason we are recommending a home with older children that will respect her space. Scout is still a young pup with lots to learn, but if you’re the person that is looking forward to hikes with a dog that will match your pace and a winter snuggle buddy she might just be your gal!
