Meet Sushi, your new cozy sidekick!

Sushi is a small, gentle girl who settles beautifully into home life and loves nothing more than being close to her humans. She is fully house trained, quiet, and wonderfully easygoing. In the mornings, Sushi wakes up when you do, heads out for a quick washroom break, and enjoys her breakfast. If you climb back into bed, she’s more than happy to snuggle right in with you.

She enjoys her daily routine of 2–3 short walks (about 15 minutes each) and has sweet little bursts of excitement when she knows it’s time for food, walks, or when play is initiated. The rest of the time, she’s a relaxed, cozy companion who just wants to be near you… on the couch, in blankets, or curled up in whichever room you’re in.

Sushi is excellent when left alone. She’s been left for up to 8 hours with free roam of the house and has never gotten into anything (though her foster keeps garbage secure). She’s fed twice a day with a few treats sprinkled in.

Sushi can be a little wary of men at first, especially new people, but with patience and gentle interactions, she warms up beautifully. Once she feels safe, her affectionate side really shines.

This sweet girl has also been through a lot. Sushi had her spleen removed in Mexico and was abandoned at the clinic after her surgery. Despite this difficult start, she remains incredibly loving and resilient.

In her previous foster home in Mexico, Sushi lived with dogs and cats and coexisted well, even if she didn’t actively play with them. In her Canadian foster home, she has been absolutely lovely with her foster’s 8-year-old son and happily soaks up affection from anyone willing to sit beside her.

If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate, low-maintenance dog who thrives on companionship and cozy moments, Sushi might just be your perfect match.
