Say hello to Terry! This sweet, affectionate boy is ready to find a loving home where he can feel safe and shower his people with cuddles. Terry is incredibly loving with new people and very easy to handle. Since Terry has never lived in a home before, he may need a little time and patience as he learns the ropes of his new environment.
Terry starts his day with a 45-minute to 1-hour adventure, followed by two shorter walks later on in the day. He walks well on leash for the most part, although his curiosity can get the better of him when he spots birds or squirrels and he may try to chase them. Terry can be nervous around loud sounds and is anxious in the car, so he would do best with people who can help him build confidence at his own pace.
At home, Terry is a wonderful cuddle bug, Once his people start working, he is happy to curl up and nap, and he is usually very calm and sleeps well through the night. He is crate training and is still learning to be comfortable being left alone. So far, he has been left alone for about two hours and may chew on things with cloth-like textures, so a little puppy-proofing will be important. Terry is learning his commands, including “sit” and “paw,” and his affectionate nature makes him a lovely candidate for continued training.
Terry does well with the other dog in his foster home and enjoys playing with them, although he can become possessive over toys or sticks, so supervision is needed when these are around. He would ideally love a quiet home with a yard and an active person who enjoys giving plenty of affection. Most of all, Terry is looking for someone who will give him the patience he needs to adjust and feel comfortable. In return, this sweet boy will happily cuddle with you until you’re bored - but he’ll never be bored himself!
