I'm not quite ready to go to my new home.

Hi! My Name Is Reece

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

Say hello to Reece!

Reece is a very shy dog that needs time to come around and warm up to new people. If given the quiet time to settle in and decompress, Reece's playful personality will eventually come out and shine. He is a very sweet boy who is extremely affectionate and loves cuddles from his humans, he is a velcro dog. Reece has lived in a home with bigger and playful dogs; he would excel in a home with another confident and playful dog that can help show him the ropes and help with his energy. He has lived with cats and has shown minimal interest, which also makes him cat friendly. Reece has found comfort in his crate and he relies on it as his safe space - he does amazing when left alone and will sleep in his crate while you are gone for work. When it comes to being potty trained, Reece is well house trained - however, it is important to note lil pee accidents may happen indoors when he is frightened in the beginning of days.

Reece hasn't had the most stable upbringing in Canada - due to the instability between multiple foster homes, he craves structure and a quiet environment where he can decompress properly. He will thrive with an adopter who is extremely patient and is willing to expose him to the scary outside world. It is important to note that Reece is very afraid of outside and it will take him weeks to adjust to a new environment. Reece adores a good beach and the sand between his toes.

**Reece requires a fenced in yard, as he will be too afraid to go on long walks until he settles into your home and would prefer to explore a fenced in area before exposing himself to this big and scary world. His future adopter's must be willing to continue basic obedience training and help guide him with the confidence he needs. If patient and given time, Reece will flourish in his new home, he will be your shadow and lapdog. He is the biggest suck with his person and has so much love to give! Once he feels safe, he is an extremely playful boy, he will bounce around and enjoy his toys or loves playing chase with fur friends.

Reece needs a patient and permanent home to call his!
